Chordae Animae Duo

The Chordae Animae Duo was born in 2020 from the meeting of two musicians with great experience and talent: Liga Liedskalnina, versatile soprano and artistic director of the Cantemus Vocal Group and Francesca Cavallo, who has held the role of First Harp in numerous orchestras. Both teachers and established artists, they have performed on prestigious European stages, collaborating with internationally renowned orchestras and conductors.

Their musical project spans different eras and genres, from the elegance of Baroque and Classicism, through the lyricism of Romanticism, to the experimental sounds of contemporary music. Their original arrangements reinterpret timeless melodies with a language that unites tradition and modernity.

What makes this duo unique is the fascinating intertwining of Liga's intense and expressive voice and the sometimes delicate, sometimes impetuous and enveloping sound of Francesca's modern harp, which accompanies every musical era with elegance and originality.
